Center of Pressure Response to Visual Perturbation in Virtual Reality

Category:

Description

Human maintain their balance based on variety of sensory inputs and one of it is visual systems. In this research, authors observed the implementation of Virtual Reality (VR) technology as visual perturbations to distort healthy human’s balance. To support this research, the subject’s center of pressure (COP) was measured using force sensor. The pilot data showed a strong evidence that VR technology would work as visual perturbations to distort healthy human’s balance.
